# Copy-Trading Overview

**Mirror traders who are already winning on prediction markets — three sub-tabs, nine categories, three timeframes.**

Copy-Trading is a Predictions-only section: it lets you read other traders' track records and route your own capital to follow theirs. The page has three sub-tabs at the top — **Топ** (Top), **Копитрейдинг** (Active Copy), **История** (History) — that take you between leaderboard, your live copies, and the closed log.

Below the sub-tabs sit nine category pills (All / Politics / Sports / Crypto / Finance / Tech / Culture / Weather / Economy) and three timeframe toggles (24h / 30d / All time). The table that follows is keyed on a per-trader row with P/L, volume, close count, win-rate, details, and an Action column with the Copy button.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Start on Top, filtered by a category you actually trade**

The fewer categories you copy, the easier it is to read the result. Start with one — Crypto, Sports, Politics — and a 30-day window.
{% endhint %}

## The three sub-tabs

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-cover data-type="image">Cover image</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><a href="/pages/2HW5C6sC5BabMeUQ1YyT"><strong>Top Traders</strong></a></td><td>Leaderboard of traders ranked by P/L, volume, and win rate.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><a href="/pages/8ms7XHZxsRd6S3qIH2T9"><strong>Active Copy</strong></a></td><td>Traders you are currently copying — manage size, pause, stop.</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><a href="/pages/mHcqSSu2QB2ITqfqS1iI"><strong>Copy History</strong></a></td><td>Closed copies — what ran, what it cost, what it paid.</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

## TABLE ANATOMY

The leaderboard table has seven columns. They are the same on Top and on History:

* **Trader** — address or display name. Click to see their full activity feed.
* **P/L (П/У)** — profit-or-loss for the chosen timeframe. Green for positive, red for negative.
* **Volume** — total traded volume in the timeframe.
* **Closed** — number of closed positions in the timeframe.
* **Win rate (Процент побед)** — closed wins ÷ total closed, as a percentage.
* **Details** — per-trader breakdown (asset mix, average size, recent activity).
* **Actions** — buttons (Copy / Stop / View) depending on which tab you're on.

A small leaderboard is normal — Copy-Trading filters down hard with categories and timeframes. An empty table with "Записи не найдены" just means no traders met the current filter combo.

## FILTERS

* **Sub-tab** — Top vs Active vs History. The same row shape, different data set.
* **Category pills** — `All / Politics / Sports / Crypto / Finance / Tech / Culture / Weather / Economy`. Picking a category filters the table to traders active in that category.
* **Timeframe** — `24h / 30d / All time`. Short windows surface hot streaks; long windows surface durable performers.

Combining a narrow category with a long timeframe is the safest read; a wide category with a short timeframe is the noisiest.

## HOW COPYING WORKS

1. Find a trader on the **Top** tab you want to follow.
2. Open Details to confirm their style matches what you want to be exposed to.
3. Use the **Copy** action in the Actions column. Set your size — typically a fraction of theirs.
4. The copy runs from the next trade they place. New trades they open mirror into your account at your set size; positions they close, you close.
5. Manage in **Active Copy** — pause, resize, or stop at any time.
6. After you stop, the result lives in **History** for review.

## KEY RISKS

Copy-Trading is convenience, not safety:

* A trader's past P/L is **not** a guarantee of future results.
* Survivorship bias is real — the leaderboard shows winners; losers fell off.
* A trader's style may stop working when conditions change.
* You inherit their slippage, their bad fills, and their wrong calls — at your size.

Copy-Trading is opt-in. Nothing copies until you press Copy on a trader you picked, and you can stop at any time from [Active Copy](/graphdex-docs/copy-trading/active-copy.md).

## FAQs

<details>

<summary>Can I copy more than one trader at a time?</summary>

Yes — each copy is an independent route. You can stack copies across different traders and different categories. Manage all of them from Active Copy.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I pay the trader I copy?</summary>

Copy-Trading mechanics — fees, splits, performance share — are platform-defined and visible on the Copy modal when you set up. Read the terms in the modal before confirming.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What if the trader stops trading?</summary>

Your copy simply stops generating new trades. Open positions still settle on their own resolution timeline. You can leave the copy in place or stop it manually.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why do all 9 categories show empty results sometimes?</summary>

Filters and timeframe combine — a narrow category over 24h may genuinely have no qualifying traders. Widen the timeframe to 30d or All time, or pick All for category.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is my Copy size capped?</summary>

By your own balance and by any per-copy maximum you set. There is no platform-imposed minimum copy size beyond per-market minimums.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://graphdex-1.gitbook.io/graphdex-docs/copy-trading/copy-trading-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
